Love very much can be a feeling but it is also very much a choice. If it was only a feeling marriage wouldn't exist because you would run out of that feeling and have to go get it somewhere else, that is why it is also a choice. There are times where making yourself love someone is crazy like loving someone who beats you, etc. But in a normal situation...when the butterflies where off don't take that as a time to replace them just know that it is also your choice :)

love is more like a behavior. The whole range of feelings are attached. Love intensifies every emotion. Happy is happier when in love. Sad is sadder. Hunger is starvation. Quiet is deafening. Flowers are manly, sunsets are the most artistic thing in nature, followed by moonlight on water. And like a drug, if you go up, the crash is just as hard.

Love is many things, defined in many different ways.
Unconditional love is the purest form of love, it the concept and the action that promotes peace, saves lives, and trancends logical thinking. It is an action, a promise, and a prayer. It is the thing which ties us all together. It's the greatest thing i've ever known.

It is a feeling, and I have no idea why someone would tell you it isnt. You feel happier, colors are brighter, and you just enjoy life more when in love. It when you are willing to walk through fire, my friend, walk through fire for someone else. You put their needs first, and think about them every day.
There is no replacement for love. Its there, or its not.
All of your answers here are the best I've ever seen...and perfectly describe love. Good job all!

love is an addiction. i saw once on the discovery channel that when you are "in love" with someone, there is a chemical in your brain that is released, hence the euphoric feeling you get when you are with that person. that is also why when you break up with a person you can feel almost in pain or why you go through withdrawls...losing that chemical release is similar to what drug addicts go through. so in perspective like that....love is really nothing more than a drug.

Love is a primal aspect of our intuitive consciousness. It defies logic, challenges reason and can even overcome our instinct for survival.
It may be the one piece of observable evidence proving the existence of the soul.

Love is a state of mind. Like, when you wake up and think about them, you feel warm and cant wait to be with them and enjoy your days together.
