Even though the traditional way in India of dealing with babies toiletting needs is to have them diaper free and respond to their signals, Huggies are available in India... why wouldn't they be? Sorry to be cynical but there are babies there with bums that Huggies are just waiting to make money off.
When you go, just have a look if you see any diaper free babies though. (It's more likely out of the big city). It's quite interesting i think. They don't have a name for what they do, but in western society it's called Elimination Communication where you watch the baby's natural signals and use timing (upon waking and after feeds) to take the baby to the potty rather than train them to go in their diaper and forget about it.

Yes, they are but the quality is not the same as u would find in say, the US where it is a policy/rule that newborns up to the age of 2 must compulsorily have diapers on all th e time....but we are quite used to indian diapers...huggies is good.. i use it on my daughter all the time..
