An overachiever is someone who realises that they have many talents and they can explore all of them. It is somebody who uses their full potential; they stretch their potential until it cries for mercy. They maximise their potential. Not everyone hates them. Some people dislike them because they envy them and they dont believe in themselves enough to know that they too have potential and talents. Or maybe they are just lazy to think.
Smart people are inspired by these overachievers.

An overacheiver is someone who really goes the extra mile in everything they do. They always do extra credit - whether or not the teacher sanctioned it. They're always the valedictorian 4.0 GPA 2400 SAT super-genius. They come in to work early, stay late, and never complain about pay reductions or vacation cuts.
And they're hated because they make the rest of us look bad, and they remind people not only of how hard they should be working, but also of how limited they are.

i am a bit of an overachiever, and in my senior year in college i have come to realize all the people that were "mad" at me were lazy, and those people that were respectable and hardworking have appreciatted my contributions and it has given them more drive. The world needs overachievers that is what creates progress.

they are called that bc they like to get good grades and do good. People do not like them bc ppl think to get to wear they are they suck up. that is why they are hated so much. They work harder then others to get what they want. Some people do not like that bc it makes the others look bad and they are jelous.

Because they are just so anal.
And they always have to flaunt their accomplishments. When they are telling their life story it sounds like they are reading a resume. GROAN
