I really wanna play college football, but i don't have enough money to go to a college with a football team right now, in the mean while i'm saving up I'll be going to a community college. I was wondering if i could play on a semi pro team while going to this community college and if i could will it take away a year of eligibility from football. I know its kinda confusing, but can someone give me some info????

I very much doubt it, sorry. If I were you, if you want to go to school, focus on school, not broken dreams.

If you were to play semi-pro i believe you lose your Ncaa eligibility. But if you want to play ball in college i suggest you go to a military school for a 5th prep year or go to a JUCO and try to earn a scholarship. if that doesn't work then you can always get a student loan and walk on.

I'm confused by why if you are good enough to play semi-pro, you aren't good enough to get a football scholarship at some college or university. Sure, it won't be Notre Dame or anything, but you should be able to get a scholarship from somewhere if you are that good.

I am not positive but if you get paid to play semi pro you will lose all your eligibility not just one year. I can't remember the name of the downhill skier that played for Colorado I think it was Jeremy Bloom but anyway he lost his football eligibility for getting sponsorship money related to his skiing career.

If you play good in a community the 4 year colleges will take you on your junior year.

Have you ever heard of Federal Student Aid?
The government will pay for your college tuition depending on how much aid you need. So you don't necessarily have to go to a community college or save up for one.
I'm attending a private school that costs $32,000.00, and the government is covering 96% of it

I am pretty sure that you keep your eligibility as long as you are not paid on this semi-pro team. As long as you are not paid, your still amature status. It's like basketball players going to summer camps so to say.
