Only does things for self, Only buys things for self, Doesn't do anything for others, Doesn't give to others, Is careless or emotionless about others feelings or well-being.

It all goes together in the whole selfishness of a person.

I would say it is the uttermost selfishness to have all of your own needs met, but continue to accumulate more so that you have a surplus (more than you need or could use) while others go without.

for me, it is when a person(s) have children, then they become angry and hostile about having no time, the kids behaviors getting on their nerves, etc. a lot of couples who have kids don't think it through long enough...how their lives are going to change 1000%, how to discipline, the division of labor, setting aside time for each other as a couple, and time for the kids, and time for oneself. it just seems as though ppl have kids because they can, or because they feel that's what's expected of them. self is the first 4 letters of the word selfish...we all need time for our "self," so that we can share our time, w/others' etc., w/o feeling like we're being eaten alive by life....geez, i hope this is making sense.
