Not exactly. The 4077 MASH dentist, who was nicknamed "Painless", who was reputed to be the best endowed man in the camp and had three fiancees had suffered an episode of impotence and concluded that he was a latent homosexual. Thinking he was gay he decided to kill himself. Hawkeye and Trapper arranged a farewell banquet, where the song "suicide is painless" was sung and then slipped him a knockout tablet, telling him it was cyanide, while he lay in a casket. While he was coming out of it they had one of the nurses sexually ravage him and he was back to normal.

Ah...the dentist...the Painless Pole (Played by actor John Schuck)...no he wasn't gay...he only thought he was because he coulodn't perform with a woman once. He decided that his ainablity meant that he was turning gay...and decided that he would rather be dead...they had the fake funeral, got one of the nursed to do him and everything was fixed.
