Did Ben's wreck earlier this year wreck his career? Did the appendectomy a few weeks later further affect his playing? Will he ever be back to where he was last year? Will he ever wake up and realize he NEEDS me?

Ben doesn't have the weapons he had last year and the year before. A good running game makes it easier for the QB to complete passes. The Steelies don't have that running game anymore.
Of course he needs you. Just keep stalking him, he will give in eventually.

As far as the wreck i'm pretty sure he's over that, and the appendectomy, and the concussion, what the problem is now is the lack of protection he's recieving, and in all reality the lack of practice this year, he's had very few games that he's played in where he's been completely healthy and that's when the rest of the team makes mistakes. Last year he didn't have to throw a lot and that's a change but I think he will get a lot better, and I agree with the person who said he's better then his stats show. As far as waking up and realizing he needs you, I wouldn't bet on that happening..........but nice little dream of yours :)

I think its too early to say. I would agree that it has affected his play this year. I think we'll definitely know by next year. Let's hope not, though, I wish him a long and prosperous career, even if I don't like the Steelers, he's a very likeable guy. You don't wish these kinds of things on good people. But like the guy above said, his team is completely different this year, so its really hard to say where their problems originate from. You can make the case though this his inconsistency this year does play a major part in their dismal record.

Ben R. had a bad motorcycle accident which almost made him bleed to death. He could have a short NFL career due to injuries. The important thing to remember is wear a helmet when driving a motorcycle.

Ben isn't the only man on the feild. He just takes the blame, as that is what a good QB does.

This year is a write-off, but he'll get back in the off-season

After a great year last year, this year has been a disaster for him as a person and the Steelers as a whole...
