Because it assume that only the few have knowledge of what is good for many, and the many are just ignorant fools.

Because it leaves no room for individuality, but history are replete of individuals who move an entire people to a vision or ideas.

Why should the Philippines continue to support a democratic but totally corrupt form of government?

With a dictatorship, you at least had discipline and a sense of honor.

Now, every Filipino (from the dwarf president to the lowest ranking government "servant") is corrupt and most Filipinos have lost a sense of self-respect.

the Filipino people seem to be such good people , friendly, helpful and as rule honest, it is a shame that the political system is so corrupt as to deprive the people of their basic needs while stealing the national treasure, leaving the people with nothing at all.I would certainly support them in a french style revolution, and kill all of the politicians ,

Forming a government is ruling and leading in guiding the survival and advancement of living human kind on planet earth.
Not in doing things at own whims and fancy while everyone living in misery in planet of apes.
Try to understand who is the Landlord of God's natural assets and who is the "Stranger in strange land" who just came and passing-by leaving with time on hitting expiry date due in planet of apes.
Will try to leave with success in worshiping God on planet earth.
Leaving behind their name in the book of records to be remember in time of their success in planet earth.
Not to get listed as billionaires in the books of modern history of failures in worshiping God and horrors with others living in misery to be forgotten with time in planet of apes.
