Well in the morning when it's hard to get up i put on vocal trance (Milkn Inc, Noemi,Mario Lopez) and it pumps me up and gets me going. But the best genre I think and the one I listen to the most is breakbeat versions of those vocal trance songs. Try Djphotik.net or djkurvy.com

you can listen to streaming music from a rock station in Charlotte NC they even have videos on demand pretty cool almost any vid.. they have it . www.1065.com just click the listen live tab in the yellow box at the top of the page and for videos just type videos on demand in the search box.. and viola 1000's of videos to fill any music taste

blink182 songs (go, i miss you, feelin this, always, man overboard, first date, stay together for the kids, not now, adam's song, stockholm syndrome, down, dammit, carousel)
the red hot chilli peppers (fortune faded, snow (hey oh), dani calfornia)
the offspring (hit that, the kids aren't alright)
the song self-esteem (i think its called that) is good.
i like a couple of afi's songs, love like winter, miss murder, and silver and cold
+44 is good too (obviously because mark hoppus is in it) when your heart stops beating
