Sure desktops can do wireless. There are PCI wireless cards, as well as USB wireless devices. Almost no desktops come with wireless built-in though. That seems to be a feature of laptops.

Hi:
If a desktop has a slot for a card, you can easily get a card, but I've seen wireless network cards for desktops that looks like you could install them pretty easily or use a USB type. Check out MicroCenter's 54G Wireless PCI Desktop Network Card for an example of the card, and Wireless G 54Mbps USB Network Adapter for a USB type. Both of these are around $40 or so. Hope this helps.

A desktop can have wireless Internet. But you will need high speed service to your house and a router. Also, you will need to buy a USB wireless adapter for your computer. You can get it at any store that sells computer stuff. Just make sure it's a USB adapter. As far as cheap computers... honestly don't buy cheap. If you need a new computer save up $1000 to $1500 and get a good one.

Yes you're desktop can have a wireless connection. You just need a wireless USB adapter or a wireless PCI adapter. You can either get a Linksys, Dlink or a Netgear whichever you prefer. And no, there are no desktops that has a built-in wireless card.

uhm, i don't know that you're asking this right, if you have a an internet connection that is hooked to a wireless router (802.11a/b/g/n) and you're wanting to know if a desktop can use a wireless adapter, then yes, just get a usb wireless adapter, or a pci wireless adapter, usb is easier to install, you just plug it into a usb port, pci will offer better performance as far as speed, range, and reliability but you have to install it inside the pc, it's not difficult though. if you're asking about a strictly wireless internet service provider (usually 802.16a) then you have to see if that's available in your area, i know we have one in my area but not all cities have them.
