If you want a small town in Arizona you better get here quick. Arizona is growing faster that you can say scat.

If you want to be near the big city there are small towns all around the Phoenix, Tuscon, and Flagstaff areas. If you wish to go remote...let me tell you, this state is full of small towns galore. Some are high in the mountains while others are in the valleys. Some sit on river banks while others sit next to dry washes. Some are in the woods while others sit in the sand. They are all just adorable and the only way to pick one out is to just take some time off and come out here and check them out.

I hope you find just the town you are looking for.

How small are we talking here? There is a town north of Williams, AZ ( a great town about 30 mi. west of Flagstaff) called Valle (pronounced Valley) that is just a gas station and some houses. You have to haul your water because it's kina out there. Or are we talking want to have a Wal-mart near by. If that is the case Flagstaff is great. It has a beautiful old town area. It is at about 7,000 ft. and they do get snow. Sedona is also beautiful. Lots of red rock formations. I gues they can get snow also, but they are a few thousand feet below Flagstaff. If you go east on I-40 there are also some small towns there such Holbrook and Winslow.

Good luck.

PS There are many tonws around Flagstaff that are small communities but less than 20mi. from Flagstaff

You shouldn't really consider Avondale or Mesa as "small towns" because they are considered part of the metro area of Phoenix. That is particularly true for Mesa. I also would suggest Sedona, as long as you don't mind cold, snowy winters. Flagstaff is another good option - again cold in the winter and a lot of snow! Phoenix is great! But it's a large city. I would avoid Tucson or anything in southern Arizona.

how small and how remote do you want it because Az has a lot of both.
Personally I think that Camp Verde is a nice little town . It's located on I-17 halfway between flagstaff and phoenix
Or you could try Ajo located a stones throw from the Mexican Border and Organ Pipe National Park
Springerville is also a nice little town
You may also want to look at Page Az located on Lake Powell
Good luck

The founder of Dominos has created a town for Christians, though any faith can live there. Liquer and birthcontrol will not be sold inside the perimeters along with other ideas like that. I think it is in Florida. This is what I have heard anyway and you may want to look into it.

Mesa, AZ is the best. I lived there on the corner of Guadalupe and Country Club. The weather is always great. It is a friendly place. I really liked it. I wish I could moved back. I am a born and breed Texan though.

I really like the set up in Miami.. it was SO small and quiet and a bit creepy even.
Then there's Payson.. where flannel never goes out of style.
