Well I am sure Mc Donalds is not the only place that requires
shirts and shoes . How would you like to eat with someone touching feet ??? Or showing the bare chest. Unless your a freak
Japanese tell you to take off your shoes as a tradition relating to cleanliness. I don't think I would want to eat around some fat belly dirty smelly feet. But hey whatever

It's not just McDonalds.
Most restaurants require it too, and it's all about health ethics.
Infact I think is a mandatory law of the FDA, that all customers who enter any eating establishment should wear shirts and shoes, and I agree with them.
Who wants to smell someone else's sweat, or eat in a place where people walked in barefooted, bringing with them millions
of unwanted germs, not to metion foot fungus or parasites.

haven't you seen those people who come off the beach wearing their bathing suits and continue to trot around in them even to the gas station or the store... or o.O fast food chains...? well, the shoe thing is very obvious, esp. to us germ/virus aware persons (aka paranoid people) walking barefoot in a public place is a health hazard, really have you seen mcdonalds employees mop? its disturbing... and the shirt thing could have a few reasons i suppose,... from floating chest hair to 'husky' persons... breasty persons. its just unapropriate to enter an estabilshment underdressed. and no you can't go with out pants just bc its not labled. pants are covered by law, its illegal to be 'publicly indecent' but law doesn't state you must wear a shirt or shoes (unless your driving, then you must have shoes)

It's not just McDonald's.....these are health department regulations that are designed to protect the public from disease and the sight of unappetizing hairy beer bellies and dirty feet! Thank Heaven for some laws!!

Health department regulations - I mean have you seen some of the people that walk around without shoes and shirts? One look from them and people might just lose their appetites.

You might alternatively wonder why they don't mention pants. Donald Duck would be right at home, Maybe that's the goal, not to exclude Disney characters by an overzealous pants requirement.

Yea, it is kinda stupid looking to walk in with just a Shirt and Shoes. You would think they want us to wear underwear and pants also.
