Well, I got a highschool basketball game tomorrow. What food should I eat for breakfast / lunch? What should I do for a pre game as a warmup / to get pumped. Or anything, what will help me perform better during the game.

the idea is to have enough energy to make it through the day and the game without eating too much. so for example if the game is 730pm and you get up normally around 8am, have a light to medium size meal like 2-3 eggs, whole wheat toast and fruit with glass of mik. if that gets you to lunch, have a light meal, maybe small salad with agrilled chicken breast. then maybe very small amout of pasta no later than 5pm. if between the meals you get hungry, have fruit or yogurt or bowl of cereal (small bowl) if you feel hungry still before the game, have a banana maybe 6pm

as for getting pumped, if you are the out going type then after you get warmed up or to get yourself warmed up during lay ups start talking a bit telling your teammates to get ready. you get them pumped and they will get you pumped but someone has to start it. go through warm ups hard! you will develope what works best for you since everyone is different in their routine.

hope it helpd, good luck!

Eat some carbs like potatoes, rice or noodles during the day. Don't eat two hours before the game, because your food won't be digested yet. Carbs will give you the energy to run up and down the court. Stay hydrated by drinking water when you get a chance during the game.

have some pasta and not too much proteins the night before. during game day, don't eat anything heavy because your body will use too much energy to digest those heavy food. To get pumped before the game, listen to some music and the crowd noise. Watch some Michael Jordan highlights, that'll get you pumped. Drink Gatorade also. Hydrate with water won't work as well as Gatorade.

The above suggestions are very reasonable. That sounds like what I did before a game as well...

Talk to you coach too, and ask him.

A couple of tablespoons of honey is also fine to take before a game, and even at halftime if you can manage it. Honey is a good source of quick energy as well, and it's not going to steal any energy from you in order to digest it.
