Bush has undermined America, and Carter is attempting to stop it. The reason why, is because unlike Bush, Carter loves America.

America was the laughing stock of the world under Carter( that's why Europe likes him so much) he was the first president that made me feel that this nation was helpless. He does not respect the office, all ex presidents keep out of the business of the sitting president except Carter and Clinton 2 ex Democrats it just shows their class.

Wow. REALLY dregging through the archives to villify someone else besides el Presidente.

Actually Carter is one of the most respectable former presidents I've seen in ages. He's done a lot of solid humanitarian work and remains a humble, earnest, and devout American. Habitat for Humanity, the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002.....you can see why the ultra-cons hate him. What they try to accomplish through blustery, jingoistic propaganda, Jimmy accomplishes through actions....charitable actions. When Dubya retires, I doubt he'll do more for the community beyond maybe taking the garbage out to the curb. Or else he'll have Laura do it. He seems the type.

You mean by speaking out against the president's actions in Iraq he is undermining America? Wow...and all this time I thought that is what most Americans are doing...and all this time I thought that we had freedom of speech. Thanks for setting me straight!

Bad American policy needs to be undermined.

Funny how people always ask why more Muslims don't speak up about terrorism. Maybe they just don't won't to undermine their leaders/culture/religion too.
