I'm from Honolulu and I have friends/family there too. I went to college in the mainland, and that's where I met my wife.

My wife is pretty social, smart, and easy to get along with, a big part of why I married her. But I'm wondering, if she doesn't have any pre-existing friends/family in Hawaii, will she still be okay moving there?

She's a pediatrician, so she's already planning to work for one of Hawaii's main hospital clinics. I don't think my wife will have much trouble making friends/social connections in Hawaii. What I'm wondering more is, will she be fine here, even though her family reside in Northern California?

Oh, I'm sure she'll be fine! It's nice you are worried about her adjusting to the move.have you asked her about it? Good luck!

You can try it out and see if she likes it....when she goes to work I am sure she is going to make new friends...and she will adjust_
