If you are talking about one single team in a season - then I would say the Oilers in the early 80's though you could also argue for the Red Wings, the Islanders, or any other team. As for dynasty type - I would say either Montreal or Detroit. Two great hockey organizations over the years.

I have to say my least favorite team, the Montreal Canadians followed by the the Detroit Red Wings my second favorite team.
My favorite team has the greatest uniforms in all of professional sports and also the worst owner in old Whisky Nose Bill Wirtz.
That would be the Chicago Blackhawks.

CSKA Moscow. All the best players in the former Soviet Union were moved to that club team. So the national team and club team had the same players and they were awesome to watch and "owned" international hockey for many, many years.

1976 Montreal Canadiens, they had what 15 Hall of Famers on that roster.
!987 Team Canada, who wouldn't want a line of Lemieux, Gretzky, and Hawerchuk? I mean sure they are all centers but come on that would be sick line.

Montreal Canadiens. Any other answer is wrong. No offense to anyone but no other team has won more Cup and been to the finals than the Habs.

the edmonton oilers had the most explosive, offense-oriented team in the 80's. As a team, they were parallel to none.Won a few cups, too.
