It's not hard to do, just don't install any.

Hmmm.. sounds like playing with fire.. The solution is simple like earlier said don't install any.
But to be on safer side I will ask you to install a firewall with high settings on the internet zone.
This may require help from expert, windows default firewall in Win Xp SP2 is easy to setup and configure other option from my view point would be Zone Alarm.
But be on watch guard as there will be plenty who know this that you planning to go on without any defense sheild..

you can do that, thats what i usually do but you have to be very careful on what you download or install
i've been virus free for a long time, usually i just use a firewall since antivirus software slow my pc down i dont like em
just be very careful on what you do and you should be fine.

No problem. Your OS will be dead in a day, and you can load a free linux distribution like ubuntu. Take my advice and download the ISO and burn to disk before you shoot yourself in the foot.

It is okay as long as you dont use the internet or get email service. Otherwise you are asking for trouble. Also dont use any one elses cds that they made from their computers.

what you mean ? if you want to don't see windows security you most change setting to monitor by other program.
