Google.com scrolls fine...Yahoo.com doesn't as well as others. My sister was on earlier, did she kill it?

She didn't kill it! lol My computer does the same thing sometimes if I start to scroll before the page has enough time to load fully. Just give it a few extra seconds and it will catch up with you.

the problem is with the site. if you have a dial-up connection it would be worse. the problem is-when you scroll-you are giving a command for the site to provide you with additional information. either the site is really crowded-the site is having technical problems-or the site is just slow. the way to determine which is--does it always happen at that site? does it only happen at certain times of the day? or did it just happen once.
example: I downloaded a program from the PC World site-it directed me to the companies site (AVG anti-virus) I have high-speed wireless-it downloaded at approximately 50kbs/as soon as I got it downloaded it asked if I wanted to check for updates-I said yes and it downloaded the update at 190kbs-the first went through the pcworld website-connecting to avg/the second went directly to the avg website.

your speed depends on three things
1. the speed of your connection-dial-up at up to 56k up to (in theory) 300mbs with 811n
2. the speed of your service provider (ISP) this varies with time of day and number of users
3. the speed of the site you have connected to-again number of viewers at that time-number of lines they have-amount of broadband they have. the more lines an entity has the easier it will be to connect, but the slower it will be to download/view information--it's sorta like 2:00 and 5:00 traffic on a given road-the road doesn't change but the speed of traffic movement changes drastically.
