Hard question...Usually I would say that this is a line I wouldn't cross. However, if this guy/girl is your soul mate and you absolutely love each other to the point of marriage, I think you should discuss it with your friend because the relationship with that guy/girl would then be the most important not your friend's.

Yes because there is no thing such as rule book in a relationship.
If he is the guy for me,then I will grab it because I know my friend would like to see me happy too as I would for her.

Nope. Aside from the fact that it would hurt friendship with my friend, I'd probably know why my friend broke up with him and that's stop me from being with him anyway.
