Zeebya, I am sorry about your loss. I know that your Mom is not in hell. God don't do that, He forgives us when we fall.

It was awesome. I like the whole idea of a family going against all odds just to be together. ITS NUTS OKAY

I don't understand why you would put your trust in hollywood and a fictitious story depicted by actors, rather than believing the Truth in the Bible. That really doesn't make any sense at all. Yes, I have seen the movie, because I enjoy fiction as much as the next guy, but I am definitely NOT schizophrenic - I can tell the difference between fiction and fact. The Bible is factual when it describes life on earth, and life after earth. For those who have rejected God and His attempts to rescue us from hell, Daniel the Old Testament prophet describes it as a place of "everlasting shame and contempt". The Old Testament prophet, Isaiah, said it is a place where "the fire is never quenched, and the worm never dies". Reading the entire chapter, you realize that the term "worm" was a derogatory reference to the people there. Jesus built on what Isaiah said. He said it is "a place where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth, where the fire is never quenched, and the worm (i.e. the people there) never die. Heaven is so extremely great that "eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the imaginations of men ... " I don't know about suicides, because I do not have the knowledge God has. We can see a person's actions, but God sees the heart, the attitude, the thoughts, and the motives, along with a person's actions.

That movie really got to me. I have great interest in what happens when this life is through. Reincarnation is something I tend to believe in. I had trouble watching the scenes that depicted hell, I must say. It took the second watching of it for me to catch some of the finer points...how real life desires were represented in heaven. It is not a movie that all will appreciate. It is different and thought provoking. I loved the ending/beginning...the ending was a new beginning....very sweet and uplifting.

I saw it. I remember little except I personally disliked it very much!
I remember it making me angry and being one of the worst movies I had ever seen, and I payed to see it at a theater too! Altho I'm foggy now on what it was even about, The FEELING remains. I really like Robin Williams so maybe I was just looking for something different? ( but I really think it offended some personal values and beliefs)
" The Fisher King" is one of my ALLTime Favorites!

I loved it! I love the story line and the idea of family being together even after death! Robin Williams is one of my favorites and Cuba Gooding Jr. was really great too! I own a copy of it and watch it about every 6 months.

I thought it was wonderful, but somewhat depressing. My mother had died about the same time as the film came out. There was a question as to whether she had committed suicide, and what they showed in the film happening to those who take that path was VERY disturbing. I often wonder what happened to my mom's spirit, and hope to God it wasn't like that.
All in all, a good film.

I heard it was truly brilliant and I admire Robin Williams....but when I watched it I could feel myself slowly slipping into a coma. I did fall asleep, but I'm kind of glad that I missed the end - as well as being a bit of a bore it was also very sad and I'm one of those people that really gets affected by sad movies

I thought it was a bit sad but beautiful. There is no hell worse than your own personal hell. Also I do believe in reincarnation. It seems like we keep wanting to come back to enjoy more of like and what it has to offer. Also goes to show you that love can endure anything, even time and self pity.

I loved the movie, but I just don't believe that God lets people who commit suicide because they lost their family to Hell.

Loved it. Thought it was a picturesque way of showing that some love transcends death. And I loved the madness of his wife. It was done in such an artistic fashion that it almost made - or did make - you cry. Great film.
