if you want to get her something that she will love get her something from Nordstroms. they have a bunch of designer clothes and all the winter clothes just came in. she will love that you made a nice effort and that you went to a nice place and MAC and stila are two nice makeup places. those are also in nordstroms.

Here's the truth. When in comes to coats you should let her pick her own and a Macy's or Nordstrom gift card would be your best bet and most brands worth their money are carried at Macy's. Also, the best make-up brushes are not bought in kits but if that's what you want go to Clarins. Individual brushes and I mean the BEST brushes you will find are at Victoria's Secret...no lie!!

I would suggest Chanel, Dior or NARS for makeup brands. At Chanel you can buy a compact mirror with the Chanel symbol on the front - very classy. Maybe buy her a Chanel Blush, Blush brush and mirror. Any girl would adore that :)

Id say buy her a juicy couture down coat w/ fur trimmed hood.
check around nordstrom.com for a coat too, go to TBD section or Savvy. Those are where the good -stylish- brands are.
MAC has brush kits, check nordstrom.com or even sephora.com has good ones with different price ranges.
and another cute thing is a Coach wristlet, they are around $40 and very practical, i love mine and bring it everywhere a purse is convenient.
GOOD LUCK!

Bare Escentuals!! You can get a starter kit online at Sephora.com. Check it out its pretty revolutionary. Its amazing because it clears your skin, the products are natural, it looks like you're not wearing makeup and just happen to have great skin, and is great for every skin type (oily, dry, acne prone, slight wrinkle etc). I'm getting it for my mom this year. I love it!

I can't help with the coat.
Make up brushes, I think the best are either Chanel, Nars or Mac.
