I'm not offended by profanity at all. Us women curse as much as men do. Appropriateness is the key. It's fine to do it with your friends and people you're close with that you know are not offended. It's bad form to use it in front of strangers and other people that may disapprove of such language. If you're trying to impress someone and you use alot of profanity then it's a turn-off. It also depends on HOW you use it. It can be used neutrally or offensively. "Oh, ****, I stubbed my f***ing toe!" is different than "Those women are f***ing c***s". It all depends on the tone, intent and situation.

Well, I'm a woman, and I find excessive cursing very childish, stupid, and offensive. Everybody curses; that's fine- I've been known to let an expletive slip in a moment of pain or some accident . . . and there are some set phrases that you just can't do without some profanity. But people who stick cuss words in at any time, who do it to be cool or something like that, I dislike.

It has nothing to do with if it's a man or a woman doing it- I hate it both, from anyone, any age, any person. In fact, I think I might hate it even more when women do it than men.

The only place I enjoyably accpet excessive cursing is in the bedroom, where it's a turn-on. In real world, be polite and corteous and use non-offensive language.

Profanity is a turn on when done in the appropriate setting ie sex. When done it's almost like some inner beast is released and she starts talking dirty and getting kinky. But your question and the context you are putting it in don't make any sense. Because it sounds like you are asking is it possible to turn-on then detour into offensiveness.

If you are asking if you can turn on women in a group by swearing umm.... then you need help! lol!

If you are just asking the question then adding that other bit for the sake of sharing then I'd say those women are being hypocritical and you need to point that out. As a general rule I don't curse. And I don't find it attractive if someone can't find other adjectives to punctuate a conversation. I don't get bent out of shape about it they just fall a few rungs in my book.

It's one thing to say it once in awhile but if it's part of your regular vocabulary well then it's a class thing. Man OR woman.

You're right, it is hypocritical. Generally, the thinking goes back to a long time ago when men were supposed to be "gentlemen" and keep vulgarities relagated to when they were with their group of guys - it was rude to swear in front of women. But if she's swearing in front of you, then clearly she doesn't give a rip about being very lady-like.

Exactly!
I really hate to hear a female cursings. There's a female at my job who curses so much she gives me a headache!. Most women who do that (to me) are the one's who think they can "kickass".
Men who curse like "Sailors",are no different. People like that have no respect for themselves, let alone others.

You're right, I don't mind cursing because I curse myself but it's the vulgar name calling that bothers me. Just tonight my former husband called me every name in the book & honestly I don't know what half of them mean, I would have prefered it he were to just tell me to f off.

maximum psychologists say utilising profanity is a demonstration of ways you experience approximately your self, etc... jointly as that is authentic, i do no longer techniques if my BF makes use of profanity in inner maximum. yet i'm embarrassed whilst he makes use of it in front of me in public. i in my opinion do no longer care if he curses at homestead. I do it too whilst i'm mad, and extra effective than I could (i are starting to be worse for the reason that we've been jointly, tsk tsk!). i've got confidence it particularly is degrading to ME, and that he's not any longer respecting ME. in case you appreciate women human beings or YOUR spouse/gf..then do no longer curse in front of her. everywhere. no longer even in the back of closed doorways. the authentic try of ways you take care of girls human beings isn't the way you take care of them in public, however the way you take care of them in the back of closed doorways...............

it doesn't bother me as long as it's not excessive. I don't need to hear it every other word.

I however, when in rare form, can shock a trucker with what'll come out of my mouth. but that is by no means an every day occurance.
