I am terribly disappointed with global warming. I read in an article that in 40 years or so, the polar caps will completely melt, and the water from there will flood the whole earth, except midwest America. Then, everybody who wanted to live had to move there. That would be a complete shame. Everybody is using electricty as if it were for granted. We need to preserve our energy, and of course, recycle! We don't want our children (if we have any) to always experience hot weather! We want our children to experience cold weather, like snow! I remember... I used to love and examine the snowflakes. I guess our grandchildren will never experience snowflakes... but, the positive side is, that my science teacher said that after a while, we will start to cool again, and that will become the cooling period (ice age). So, I guess everything will be even a long time later (if we're still alive!).

I'm not upset too much by it, seeing on how "all the top scientists agreed" 30 years ago that the world was heading towards another ice age unless we took drastic action like covering the ice caps with black soot so they would aborb more of the sun's energy. Now, those same scientists are saying the exact opposite.
I'm not saying global temperatures aren't rising, but who is to say humans are the cause. Apparently, before the industrial age, the earth got really really cold and mamoths were a plenty. So, if ice ages happen without human intervention why do we assume we are the ones responsible for it getting warmer?

I live in the plains region, and I remember by this time we'ld have at least two good snows, and usually one that stuck by now...we used to go sledding in the neighbor's yard. My kids are six, and they've seen two snows that actually cover the ground and stay there for more than a few hours. Anyway, the weather is definately changing, and fairly rapidly (since one person can be alive long enough to notice a change at all). It's upsetting, if you think about how much it will change things for people. Crops will have to change, and people will have to get used to it. Not to mention the larger tides are being affected, and that causes more severe weather in areas of the planet....
Well, I could go on forever...here's the EPA's website, already to the area about global warming. It covers what causes it, all the affects suggested and/or known, the US Climate Policy, and what people can do.

Not in the least upset about it. For one, we can't do anything about it. I know, there are all kinds of people who say it's caused by man and we can reverse it by producing less greenhouse gasses...baloney!! Even if all these things were true and the seas rose and washed Miami and Los Angeles away (big loss) it won't happen in our lifetime so what do we care? We should be environmentally responsible by principle but as humanity, we're not going to reverse earth processes that have been going on for millenia. Let's work on something we have a better chance of improving, like peace in the Middle East.

I live in northern Alberta. We are getting our first real winter in years. Last year it was a green Xmas. This year it is been down to -37 degrees and we have a reasonable snow pack. In other words a normal winter. Last year my good old Parka never came out of the closet. This year people are asking me where you get a real parka with wolf trim like the one I own. Yes in spite of this start to a decent winter I think global warming is real based on the past 15 years weather.

Not upset, as it's really not doing anything bad to us, yet. And it's not soo in your face to where you can not think about it. When I do allow myself to think about it, there's cause for concern. Too bad most of us didn't know to be more concerned earlier. Have you seen Al Gore's "Inconvenient Truth?" There are some interesting things in there. I do believe in global warming. Some of us in colder states will like it, the break from the frigidness, for a while! :-/
BTW, I do have the energy saving bulbs in my home. Some efforts are better than none. And I know I could still do better...

I don't really think that we're playing a big factor in global warming because I don't believe there is global warming. There have been ice ages that ended without us, so it's appearant that there's a pattern of warming and cooling. We're probably just in a warming period. (and even that's up for debate)

I think about global morning everyday. I think what is going to be in the next 20 o 50 years and I cannot believe what we have done. I totally believe that we are on the path to self-destruction. I am very upset by it.
