Try vaginal sex. Anal just doesn't get the job done nowadays.

You know, I have been reading A LOT of posts by women who are having trouble trying to conceive after taking depo. I was on it for a year but then I stopped because I felt like it was messing me up. I have no proof it was the depo that made me infertile, but I am starting to get suspicious.

It could be that you have stopped ovualting for many reasone (maybe the depo). Clomid would very likely help you start to ovulate. It has to be presecribed by a doctor, and I think it costs $50-$100 per cycle, if I remember correctly. You take it in a pill form for several days in the beginning of your menstrual cycle and it helps you create more eggs (I usually had 3-4) which increases your chance of getting pregnant.

I haven't taken fertilaid, but I'm sure it would be beneficial. I think Clomid would give you a quicker response, though.

It can be your boyrfriend, by the way. Just b/c he had kids before does not mean he cannot be infertile now. Sperm are pretty delicate and respond to many factors. Even if he just soaked in a hot tub for 20 minutes, it could bring his sperm count down to almost zero for three months!!! If you want to know for sure, he can do a sperm analysis at your local hospital that will check on the number, shape, and swimming ability of the sperm.

I would say talk to your gynecologist as a first step. He/she can help determine if you just need to be patient and keep trying or if you should take a little more aggressive action now.

Good luck!

I would not take Clomid without a prescription from a doctor. They will first need to be sure you are NOT ovulating. Otherwise Clomid can cause harm. If you are the clomid wont increase your chances b/c it makes a woman ovulate.

You only have a 25% chance of becoming pregnant each cycle. Relax. Get yourself as healthy as possible, dont drink, smoke, limit caffeine, eat healthy. These all help.

from what i was told by my doctors is that after going off the depo shot it can take 9 months to a year before you can get pregnant or even get your period back if it went away. They say this is because every womans body is different and acts differently to the depo drug. they give it to you every 3 months only because deponding on the woman it could stay effective for 2 months to 6 months. its different in every woman so they give it every 3 months. your problem might be that the depo is still active in your body and still preventing you from becoming pregnant. Best of luck to you, keep trying!!!

Maybe, you should get married... marriesd couples actually have less problems concieving (less strees, more security) Also Depo can actually make you infertail!!! It is banned in many countries, the US is a exception allowed here. I would see your OB & never use depo again & spread the word!

No go to a fertility specialist and see what the dpo did and if your hormones are screwed up now or if you have fibroids, endometriosis, et,etc, u could have other issues. Clear them up and you'll get pregnant.
