Alright, I seriously can't remember the name of this book and I thought it was freakin' hilarious. Its about a boy, a girl, and I think later on another boy. The girl is huge into acting and is also a little huge around. The boy is itty bitty. He wants to get into the prestigious college and steals this money from his step mother. He donates the money to the college saying he wants it to go to a boy, of jewish decent, and living on the street he is living on, ensureing him to get the money, but he doesn't, someone else does. And I remember they stole a garden gnome at some point in the book. I remember it started out by the pool, and I remember the girl had a crush on someone from the play she was in. HELP ME! I know the description sucked, and its a rather abstract book, but I love it to death and really wanna re-read it.

I remember this book. All I can think of is Secret Garden but I don't think so. I really remeber them stealing the garden gnome.
This is going to drive me nuts all day now. Trying to think of the title of this book. I know I read it but it was many years ago.
I think the word "key" was in the title.
