It is a day to celebrate thanks it began 1621 when settlers had celebration with Indians to show their thankfulness for a great harvest to help them survive the winter, now it is a once a year reminder to share our gratitude to/for the people/things we are grateful for.

It's my favorite holiday because of 1) 3 games of football 2) The Thanksgiving parade 3) The food!!! 4) But most of all, because I am eating and having a good time with family and friends. We remember to say "thanks" for all the things we DO have and not just focus on the things we don't have.
