Yes, it's all true. Except I'm not a cartoon.
Anyways, I'm not going to pretend to be someone else just to prove a point. The whole challenge in itself is discriminating. So, what race/ethnic background did you have in mind for us to change to? Gee, I wonder...

Mine are about as close as I am going to get, given the options I had! Yes, I am really blonde, white, female, green-blue eyed, and have a somewhat similar face shape. I did not know there was a way to convey what your religion through the avatar.
I don't read into it too much, it is just something more convenient than trying to get your picture on, (for people like myself who don't know how to do this) plus being a cartoon is a little more fun anyway.
I think it depends more on your writing style, whether people take you seriously here or not. But yours is an interesting experiment, nonetheless.

Yes, my avatar is similar, except my hair is darker. The style is the same. But I hope you realize, the avatars are only cartoon representations of people here. They in no way can be "just like" the person, no matter how close everything may be.

Lets just say I can't get my avatar to look like me . This is just an avatar. How can it look 100% like u ??? Speaking of discrimination, this is just what u think. Ask around only 1% out of 1000% will say that they are discriminating!!!

I've not tried each one yet, only some. I really do have short hair now though, and it's really more of a dishwater brown now. :) And I'm not that thin yet either. Oh and...oh, well, you'll see how I answered and asked different kinds of stuff over time, each time I changed my avatar. But yep, have definitely seen what you're talking about.

Couldn't get my avatar to look much like me, so I use my own picture. You can check out my avatar on my 360 page. I don't recognize discrimination when it is against me. I'm not wired that way. I'm a pretty sarcastic person, (it's in fun not malice) easy going and I'm kind of clueless when it comes to discrimination against me. I do recognize it when it is against others. It makes me sad.

I see what you are trying to say..
I've seen a black girl have a white looking avatar and someone said, "why are you talking about being black, you are white." So, it's not discrimination, discrimination is behavior targeted at an individual intended to hold them apart. It's an action. I think you are talking about stereotyping.

It's sort of true...I have blond hair, but it's shorter, and I'm white. But other than that, I don't wear flowers in my hair nor do I have large sun glasses. I don't think people necessarily treat me one way or another because of my avatar, considering I don't chat on yahoo.....I just periodically answer questions. But I think I'll see what happens.....

I don't think you're right about that. People react to what you say, not the little cartoon head near your name. Can you give even one example being discriminated aginst? And your deleted questions don't count, because I have looked at some of your questions, should I say non-questions.

I didnt know that my avatar had a political or religious stace, but everything else is....
Sure I'll try it for a coupla days - sounds like a cool social experiment.
Here's a question? Are YOU going to have a follow up question to see how it went? :)
