small chance? you mean there's still chance? I'm just wondering whether hackers can attack people's computers SOLELY by knowing their IPs.

yes there is a way, im not really sure of it myself but i know the basics.

with your ip the person can port scan your system and find any open ports and attempt to mass send you a script ( you can also call it a worm)

and with that script he can either setup ftp on your system where he can download or delete files or install other trojans to take over your system. the best thing for you to do is install a firewall some known good ones are: Norton Internet Security, Zone Alarm , Outpost Personal Firewall. just see what you can find. and with a firewall configured right, you should be alright.

as far as your email, what makes you think the person hacked it? just incase i dont see this again, you can email me at: sarmenhb@yahoo.com and tell me about it, and i will be able to help you.

One more thing:
----------------------

Remember that one virus called MBlast?
well, it was a virus that did just that, it would automatically scan through a wide range of ip addresses from many ISP's and send out packets to them and automatically execute the worm viruses at an instant. I remember when i got it, i formated the computer and got happy that the virus was gone, and the second i connected to the internet, i was infected just like that witout opening any program or browsing through the internet. it was funny untill i figured out how to get rid of it.

ip address is dynamic, so the ip you're using now, might not be the one you're using tommorrow, so there is a small chance for him to hack into your pc

deliver a link to the question you're conversing approximately. it particularly is quite in all hazard it particularly is a programme that mirrors what's saved on your workstation as you have suggested the guy could have no longer something against you. Did you verify out your loved ones member's e mail those days? no rely if it particularly is on your historical past folder human beings can fairly get it. on line advertising and commercial web pages usually do this as a fashion of looking skill customers. i'd say to no longer problem as no harm can come of it even though it could have taken a large variety of attempt and for somebody to bypass to such lengths to agonize you is horrifying in itself. you're able to in all hazard ask them and very nearly certainly block in the event that they provide the effect of being reason on frightening you yet verify first, merely in case it exchange right into a comedian tale. solid luck with it and perchance next time confirm you clean your historical past folder. Missus shivers: human beings can get entry to your blocked questions merely by signing out and clean the web site as, whilst no longer signed into yahoo, YA administration won't understand who they are or that they are blocked. although, they are going to be no longer able to respond to or fee those questions and solutions as, right this moment they verify in to accomplish that, Yahoo will comprehend them and that they are going to as quickly as back be blocked.
