The Iraq War was and is valid. Weapons have been found, terroists ties proven, and Saddams evilness apparent, so why are those against the war not know any of this? As for the casualties in Iraq only 70% have any relation to combat or IEDs and the rest have to do with car wrecks, dicease, and medical problems, not to mention this is the least percentage of U.S. casualties of any war. This War is critical to the War on Terror, so why are people against the War so clueless?

Most of the major media hate Bush so much they would rather we lose the war on Islamo Fascist Nazis and their terrorism even if it means we all die. They just have a hard time telling the truth.

I was and still am a supporter of the Iraqi war, but, unlike you, i am not blind to the facts on the ground and the effects that this war has had.
I firmly believe that this war will on the very long term be beneficial to this part of the world. The war moved the stagnant and stale waters of the Arab world. It has shaken the foundations of a very rotten system.
On the other hand the, the war and its immediate aftermath were a huge failure. We allowed the country to fall into anarchy and thus basically allowed every crazy extremist to come in and make themselves comfortable. In doing this, we raised the stakes tremendously. Iraq has now become the pivtal point, the heart of a larger ideological struggle. I read extremist propaganda and i know this for a fact. The extremists celebrate the death of every US soldier, they rejoyce at the violence and bloodshed.
Sadly, the US Administration refuses to acknowledge the facts on the ground. Tactically the Iraqi war was brilliant, but it has been an incredible strategic failure.
If things don't change soon, Iraq will fall into civil war and in the process become a haven for extremists and terrorists. What Afghanistan provided Islamic extremists will be nothing compared to Iraq. Afghanistan is remote, mountainous and with few natural resources. Iraq on the other hand is right in the middle of the Middle East, with large amounts of oil and easy to reach and move in and out of.
I fully understand the views of those who were against the way, but it is too late for that. The mistake was made and that is that. Right now we must realize the stakes, this cannot be over emphasized. The problem is that dialogue about Iraq has become a blame game and a "i told you so" kind of situation.
Regarding your question, i really do not know where you get your facts. No one denies the crimes committed by Saddam Hussein, but other than that, you had better find other sources for your information. I supported the war for completely different reasons than the US Administration. I supported it because this part of the world neede some shaking up, not because of some ficticious link between Iran and Al-Qaeda or non-existant weapons of mass destruction.

The Iraq War was and is a mistake on a colossal scale. The alleged WMDs that put us there have not been found. Pre-2003 ties between Iraq and Al Qaeda never existed; however, ties do exist now as graduates of Al Qaeda training camps began appearing in Iraq immediately following our own invasion and subsequent occupation, in which we dissolved a military that was 1 million strong, thereby sending the same 1 million soldiers into the streets jobless, armed, and pissed off. These people along with Al Qaeda created, perpetrated and comprised the origin of the Iraq War's modern insurgency. Sadaam's evilness was never in question. And please don't judge a war's success on the number of casualties we're accruing. Making such a statement or such a comparison only underscores your own lack of experience or knowledge on the subject.
The fact that we went to war on intelligence that either was fabricated or grossly inaccurate only forms the basis of why this war is so unfortunate. In an time when open, objective information is so readily available to you from a variety of reliable sources, it's almost as unfortunate that you could be missing it.

People are not clueless . We just feel that war is no solution. It is like fighting fire with fire and we are no better killing people. Crusades were futile wars and achieved nothing except to open up the world. The Crusades were regarded as Holy Wars to eradicate Muslims. Look back in history at the Crusades.

It's sad and kinda tacky to characterize people who oppose this war as clueless. Your 'facts' don't answer the Weapons of Mass Destruction question.

Just living human kind like you and me at loss and stranded in planet of apes.
Just having self lack of knowledge.
At loss there are others with poor education living in misery in planet of apes.
So give others a break and just listen to what they are trying to tell us.
Not necessary to kick them on their butts when they are already living in misery in planet of apes.
Then maybe we can even "Give peace a chance" in planet of apes.
Instead of throwing pots and pans in bashing up one another in planet of apes.
