So I have only caught parts of the last several episodes. I Know that Daunte helped Nathan get a car, but I did not ever see the deal they made. Then today i saw that he needed to throw the game for some reason. But that is all. I saw most of todays episode, but came in about 20 min into it.

When Nathan ran into some finanacial problems and went to Dan, Dan wouldn't help him. So, Dante gave Nathan like $10,000 and told him not to worry about it. Then in the next episode he told Nathan that he had to win the semi-finals by less than 10 pts. or come up with $15,000 (with interest). Nathan tells him that he told him not to worry about it and Dante says he don't have to if he wins the game by less than 10. So Lucas convinces Nathan to tell him what's going on and he helps Nathan win by 9 pts by throwing away his free throws, but tells him he'll not help him anymore. Then last week Dante comes back and says he has to lose the State Championship if he wants his debt erased. Nathan tells him to forget it. Then Dante threatens to break his legs and end his basketball career and hurt Hayley if he doesn't. He just kinda popped up with the car after Dan refused to help Nathan.

SPOILERS:

Daunte bought back the car for Nathan. In the process, Daunte decided he could make a lot of money off betting since the Ravens were favored to win by 10 points. If he could get Nathan to get the Ravens to win, but by less than 10 points, Daunte could get a huge return on his bet. So stupid Nathan (and Lucas) did that, the Ravens only won by 9 points.

Then, since Nathan went along with the semi-final game, Daunte decided to mess with Nathan some more and try to get him to throw the finals. Nathan was going to do it, and told Lucas about it, but Luke yelled at him and told him that he would do everything he could so they could win instead. Lucas told Skills what Nathan was planning. That's what caused the mini-fight. Luckily, at halftime, Nathan extracted his head from his butt and decided to play anyway. Hence the rest of the episode.

Hope that helped!

Dante first helped Nathan out money wise by paying for his electric bill or whatever but then Dante started wanting more from Nathan...like last game it was to only win by less than 10 points. However, Dante took it farther and told Nathan he had to lose the championship game or he was going to hurt him (and the people he loved?) because Dante bet a lot of money on the other team winning.
