The nine months that I was in the womb. After that there was a period of time during which I was bathed by others. Then came a long period of having only baths. To be perfectly frank, the first time I can recall actually taking a shower (not a bath or having a Wash) would have been when I was 15 and was an Army Cadet.

This is the truth. 31/2 months. I was stuck in a cast for that time period after ankle surgery. The casts were changed 4 times. I washed off at the BR sink. I was so Thankful to finally get a shower when the cast was finally removed . Went into a boot after that which I could take off and use the shower each night. I felt so dirty and horrible during that time.

36 hours +, I had shower before I went to work and worked 36 hours non-stop till I got home and had a shower again.

I had shower or bath everyday even my right leg was broken, I wrapped my leg with 2 or 3 big plastic trash bags and tired up on my thigh, put a chair in the bath tub and had my daily quick shower for 2 months. My mom helped me to get in and out of the bath tub though. It was in hot summer, I could not stand not to have shower each day.

In the weeks following the birth of my first baby, I once didn't shower for 4 days before I realized it. (I also wasn't sleeping for longer than 1 and a half hours without waking up to feed my little one, so showering was the least of my problems!!)

Well, it grosses me out sometimes, but as a busy stay at home mom, there have been times when 4-5 days go by without a shower. Moreso when they were babies!! Not anymore though! I take a shower every day, even if I don't style my hair.

The last time I took a shower was this morning and I could use
a hot shower to warm me up, it's cold outside. I take a shower
every morning even if it is cold out side.

I became very sick and was admitted to the hospital. After four days of staying in bed dying, they did emergency surgery on me and then hours later did surgery again. I was out cold for three more days. Due to being in isolation, being on a resperator and not being able to move. When I finally came to, I couldn't hardly stand the smell of myself and the doctor would not authorize even a sponge bath for me. It was another seven days before anyone cleaned me up and they only washed me with baitadine and then rinsed me off with phisoderm. I couldn't even get my hair shampooed for another week. This was the absolute worst for me, because I was used to showering everyday.

A week, and that was only because my hubby and I were living in a 150 year old farmhouse we were trying to remodel and that winter we had an ice storm that knocked out the power for a week. Had no water, no electricity, no heat except for the fireplace and a kerosene heater and our own body heat melded together, intertwined under about 15 blankets.........sorry for the digression there *sigh*....best winter of my life....LOL ;-)

I went camping once and couldn't get a decent shower for five days. It was horrible.
