A guy asked me out to the movies and his mom said it was onl ok if him and i brought a friend.

Will you allow the temptations of sex, or what preludes sex to overtake your baby girl? They are starting awefully young nowadays
Or will you control it, allow it and oversee it.
Or will you eliminate it alltogether before it gets out of control?
Well, puppy love starts at about that age.
Id say group 'dates' with friends are allowed.
you know you drop her off with friends, bowling alley, movies, speed zone, but then pick them up at the same place.
this is the best time to appracoh the young man, and make him understand the do's and dont's with your little girl.
Best if dad does it.
Making the boy understand is key. instill the fear in him, of what happens and whats not tolerated.
Best thing to do is put him on the spotlight. Right in front of mommy daddy and daughter. Thats where the boundaries should be set for both of them
From that little interaction, you can get a good feel about what the little boy is about. Not foolproof but good starting out point.
Then with clever monitoring..youll be able to see if youre daugfhter and her crush are keeping to your rules.
Id include mr little boy into the family, and the outings and if he has trouble with that, then let your daughter know, you wont have someone who cant make mommy and daddy feel secure hanging around your daughter, plain and simple.
Allowing her some freedom, with careful monitoring could prove the best investment of all -- but only if she keeps your trust and follows your rules.

Yes! Enjoy your childhood. Don't grow up too fast. Seriously, have fun! Boys only break your heart. And what 12 year old do you think you will date and stay with and get married. Isn't the whole idea of dating is to find "the one"? Get what I am saying?

Yea, I'm not sure what dating means to you- if you mean to go on dates, and with different guys, and not be tied down to one, then a big yes. I had a boyfriend at 12- he was my boyfriend for about 2 and a half years... we would watch movies at our parents house, hold hands, go out to dinner with our parents, go to football and basketball games with our parents, and meet up with one another. But all happened with our parents. But to go out on a date alone with another guy, I'm not too sure of... you are very young- anyone could take advantage of you... and even if you are dating another 12 yr old- other predators could take advantage of you both if you are alone. Your parents hopefully look out for you and that's why they decide it is too young to be dating.

Yes, you are not ready for all the challenging that can occur. Nothing wrong with having a b/f and hanging together but the only get togethers should be at each other's house with parents present and visable.

yes 12 is too young to date i think my sister is 11 going on 12 and i won't allow her to date yet because they are not ready at that age myself im old enough and ready.

Yes-you are a little girl-I was still playing with Barbies at your age.You have plenty of years to date-just be young and carefree-not dating.I would not let my daughter date until she was 16.

LIVE YOUR LIFE AND BE A 12 YEAR OLD.
Its okay to hang out but I wouldnt let my 12 year old date.
