higher taxes
stricter gun controls
abortion is a woman's right
government intrusion into your life is good
appeasing foreign countries is always an option
etc., etc., etc.
conservative : smaller government
lower taxes
enforce current gun control laws, no new ones
abortion is murder
government should stay out of people's lives
whenever possible
foreign governments who are a threat should
never be appeased, but dealt with.

the simple answer:
conservative = right wing views
liberal = left wong views
a right wing view = abortion is wrong because it involves taking a life
a left wing view = abortion is a womens right because it is her body.
