I would rather grieve and remember my loved ones in places where they found happiness, not some funeral home. Thoughts?

If you were my daughter, and this is what you did, I would find great joy that I had taught you well. How better could I want to be remembered, as there will be no funeral. I truly hope that many years after I am gone, she can still remember something I said, and smile....OK, maybe a ghost of a smile

I still go to funerals, it will be the last time i ever get to see a loved one in the flesh and i value that, but some people would rather remember their loved one at their best and alive. Everyone grieves differently

Going to the funeral home is to show respect for the living family members if this is the way they have chosen to say their good byes .
So yes I go .
