I've always thought so.
Don't lie
Don't steal
Don't bother nobody and don't put up with anyone bothering me.
Won't have anyone working for me that does, and won't work for anyone that does.
I think I'm ahead in the long run. I've got a rep as being honest, but had to quit a job or two where I was paid well. I've got a job now that pays better.
I've always thought honorable and honesty were pretty much the same thing.

My code of honor?
Follow the law.
Be ethically consistent.
Be honest.
I don't know how I came by it. My family has some ties to law enforcement so I have some romanticism for the legal system and the blood that was shed to build and uphold it.
I hate being able to detect hypocrisy in others and then have someone turn around and point it out in me. So as part of my own self righteousness and concern for what others think of me, consistence is super important to me. I would say guilt but that's probably secondary to social anxiety.
I was an only child and always got what I wanted so I never had to learn how to lie. I spin an argument FOR anything. Have been guilty of dishonesty by omission perhaps, but no blatant lying.
I think the code of honor is useful. It comes in handy at job interviews and with people in positions of authority. It's not always popular when you're on the dating circuit in your early to mid 20s, but that's just as well where I'm concerned. I don't want to date stoners or morally negligent people. Good, polite and compliant character usually means that a guy will be nice to a woman and nice to his mom. What he does in his career or when the lights are off don't usually correlate milktoast compliance-wise, so those areas don't usually suffer.

If you look around at the world today, you will know that the answer to this question is no because at one point in time, even if just in thought, Honor has taken the backseat. One tries to be honorable, honest, ethical and live with morality. But everyone falls at one point when walking the honor tightrope. I think the killer in the question is the word strict. I find it difficult to believe that many would stick by a strict code of honor when perhaps it is the matter of life and death, to one's self or to a loved one. Everyone has stared dishonor in the face at least once, and taken his hand for a spin around the ballroom.

I try to live as honest as possible and you know what? I've been cheated, stolen from, lied to and sabotaged but I wouldnt change because I sleep well at night....and I always remember the world has a way of making things right one way or another....as far as the code goes it has been one I've developed by what people have done to me and others around me...I prefer to learn from other peoples mistakes

hm...that's an interesting question
I don't have a list..i mean...i know what i should and should not do...well...these are my rules...and i'm human and i struggle with them. But they are always there in my mind and my heart telling me that this is what i should...
-Love everyone, even those who hurt you
-Everyone needs a smile from someone once and awhile...be the person to give them that
-Do not speak ill against people...do not think ill against people...
-Respect and love everyone as a beloved child of God
-It is not my place to judge people
-Stand up for what you think/and know to be right (pro-life, etc) no matter what the consquences are.
-Treat others the way you want to be treated
-Remember that God loves you. Talk to him and he will listen...love him will all your heart, mind, and soul
I say that they have always helped me...I came by this code with maturity and through my faith

Nope. If it comes down to breaking some moral convention to help myself I'll break it.
When the sleigh is heavy
And the timber wolves are getting bold
You look at your companions
And test the water of their friendship
With you toe
They significantly edge
Closer to the gold
Each man has his price Bob
And yours was pretty low

My code is simple. I try to be a better person today than I was yesterday....knowing I will make mistakes along the way.

No, I don't. It's a good thing I don't have super powers, because I would surely use them for my own personal gain.
