My husband and I just found out we are pregnant with numero deux. I think it's too early to start telling people, I wanna wait a while and tell family first, he agrees and we plan on telling everyone Christmas Day.
Now I want some cool ideas on telling them. This is what I'm thinking: there's a beautiful statue of a pregnant woman standing, and the father is knelt on one knee with his ear to the belly. I think it is cute and would like to own it. I wanna buy it and wrap it, and just before we all sit down to christmas dinner, have him give me the present to open in front of everyone...they'll all go ballistic, but this may be my last pregnancy and I wanna make the surprise worthwhile..any ideas/suggestions?
How did you tell your family? Did you do anything special?
Thanks for your input!

I think a cool idea would be to wrap a gift and have your mother open it. Indside will be a letter that asks "what you do want for 'Christmas: a boy or a girll?'" After she reads it, I think she will get the idea, I hope you think of something if you do not like this idea. Oh, by the way, congrats on the news! Haveing your second child is great, you remember so much about your first one, and you feel alot smarter. Good luck!

I think that is a really cute idea. I just found out I was prego a few weeks ago. My husband and I were going to get our first ultrasound picture and wrap it up for our parents to open on christmas (this is our first lol). But we got overly excited and everyone already knows!! But either are very good ideas!!

Good luck and congrats!

Your idea is so cute. The way I broke the news, was I bought a pair of the smallest baby booties I could find. i gave one to each grandparent to be. They loved it. They couldn't believe it, but they were excited. This time around I just broke down and told everyone, except one said of my grandparents. i'll prolly do this on Christmas. I'm prolly gonna use the same method, only wrap them up. good luck!

I gave my mom a mothers day card saying congrats on the new baby on the way. She got so exited. IF I were ever to have a christmas baby I was going to give them a box with baby bibs in it and a blanket about being grandparents.

I took my first sonogram picture and made a bunch of cards with a copy of the baby's sonogram on it and it said "Were expecting baby #3" and in side was my due date and a poem about adding to the family. We invited everyone over for a dinner party and had our 2 children hand them out at the dinner table.
Congratulations!!!!

i imagine your idea is impressive. i'm pregnant with # 2 also, yet we did not move that extravagant on telling, yet I say move for it! in case you may have adequate money that statue and hubby is of the same opinion to attempt this, then what's the problem? What a tremendous Christmas marvel which will be for anybody!

Yes, it was near Christmas and I bought my Mom and Dad and my husband's parents coffee cups with "world's greatest grandmother" and "world's greatest granddad". They thought it was great!
