Depend on which manga we're talking about One Piece usually has 9-10 chapters in the volume Bleach usually has 8-10 chapters Naruto usually has 9-10 chapters Hunter X Hunter usually has 10-12 chapters Keikkashi usually has 10 chapters Yuyu Hakusho usually has 10 chapters Dragon Ball usually has 12 chapters (too lazy to pick up another manga, but you get the point) As you can see most shounen has the average of 10 chapters. However, it's all depends on how many pages they have in each chapters. Most of them usually has 19 pages in each chapters. The chapters they put on the volume also depends on the pages they had on each chapter because some manga has up to 25-30 pages in each chapters. Which mean, the volume would most likely has 5-6 chapters instead of 10... This usually happen in shoujo type of manga though....

It depends on which manga you read b/c for InuYasha it takes like 3 chapters for one episode, but in Fruits Basket it's like 1 chapter for 1 episode. It really depends on what you're reading.
