Depends on who you ask. To me, true love is putting the needs of your love ahead of your own without considering payback or reward. When their smile lifts your spirits, when sacrifice is a pleasurable experience.

I have been married 37 years and we are best of friends. Sometimes you may think there is no love but maybe you just start to wonder if there is something better. There are times when you have to work at it because I know it is not an easy thing. To me if I was to leave my wife it would be walking out on my best friend. I could never do it. Three years ago I came home from the hospital dam near cripple. I couldn't even wipe my own butt. She took care of me for a month before she went back to work. Five years ago she fell out of our boat into icy water. Without a second thought I went in after her. I guess I would say be dam sure the love is gone before you end it. Because if you have the chance for real love and let it go. It won't come around again. Do me that one favor and be sure before you act.

ARE YOU SURE ITS LACK OF LOVE?
SOMETIMES THERE IS SO MUCH STRESS IN ONES LIFE THEY FORGET TO FEEL OTHER EMOTIONS. STRESS IS SO STRONG SOMETIMES THEY MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE THERES NOTHING ELSE IN YOUR LIFE BUT STRESS. TRY SPENDING SOME TIME AWAY FROM THINGS THAT ARE TAKING OVER YOUR MIND JUST FOR A DAY AND SPEND THAT DAY WITH YOUR LOVED ONE AND NO FIGHTING ALLOWED AND IF THERE IS STILL LOVE IN YOUR MARRIGE YOU WILL FEEL IT AGIN. IF YOU DO THIS AND OLD LOVING FEELINGS COME UP THAT USUALLY MEANS THOSE FEELINGS ARE THERE TO STAY AND JUST NEED TO BE UN BARRIED. A GOOD WAY TO THAT IS TO PUT SOME TIME A SIDE FOR WHAT I CALL "A GOAL AND A SMILE" FIRST YOU EACH OF YOU SAY ONE THING YOU WANT YOURSELF TO WORK ON AND THAN YOU BOTH MENTION SOME THING THE OTHER ONE DID OR A GOOD MEMORY THAT MADE YOU SMILE THAT DAY. THE ONLY WAY FOR THAT TO WORK IS TO STICK TO IT , DO IT EVERY DAY AND STICK TO YOUR GOALS THAT YOU MAKE. I HOPE IT WORKS FOR THE BOTH OF YOU.

Did you not feel love when you married? I find it hard to believe you don't know what love is...simply because you do not feel it toward your wife doesn't give you "love amnesia".

If you can't get couples counseling and get back on track...then go your separate ways...it's okay...stay together for as long as it is good and right for you both...when it's not...move on...

True love, sacrafice is the essence of love, to know love, we must first be loved, this is why Jesus died a criminals death on the cross for us, He took all of our sins for us, and to give us ever lasting life, that's love, how do we recieve this, by repenting of our sins and iniviting Him into our hearts.....He is so awesome....

To me I know it's true love if you would give your life to live one more year , month, day with that person.
