Anything totally awesome you'd buy, maybe something special.

I'd donate a large sum to charity
Buy a huge mansion-like house
Large sword collection
Elephant tusks at a doorway
Pool with diamond studs
Automatic closet
Ridiculously big screen TV (probably movie-theaterish)
Pay for the rest of my education and my families
Lamborghini Gallardo and Ford GT

Tons of other stuff, who knows!

Well, if I won the lotto and never had to worry about money again I would take a long vacation and I mean long! I would travel the country and see and do everything I've always wanted to do and then when I was bored I would open my own nursing agency. I would probably build a childrens ward somewhere needed and a few others and visit and make sure that good was being done there. I would also be involved in donating funds where needed. I would love to sit here and say that it would all be for kids, and kids are great, but it's also important to help the adults here too. I would like to see AIDES, Cancer and ALS knocked out once and for all! But Still Keep dreaming N mayb d lucky day will come

Set up a charitable foundation and get a good friend of mine to run it.

Make my husband's Mom and his Brother financially independent. Set my son and my two nephews up in their own separate businesses.

Set up a trust fund for education for my new niece: Melodie' (who lives in France with the rest of my husband's family)

Take my cousin on some trips (she had breast cancer last year) and give her $1M of her own.

Give my son $1 M and tell him to mind his own money -- give my DIL her own money so she can do her thing too

Get my husband a boat and a Ferrari and a motorcylce of his choice.

I really don't want anything because it just seems I am happy with my life as it is.

Start a lot of scholarships for kids who don't make good grades but want to get a college education.

Be the benefactor to some artists and writers.

Perhaps start a writers retreat like Yaddow

Oh, yes and lobby really hard for the US government to provide medical insurance for people who have none and cannot afford treatment
Oh, yes, and open a clinic for a friend of mine who is a doctor.

I would invest the money and try to do some good with the investments later

Oh, yes, I would buy back my husband's family domaine( winery) in Provence, La Begude, that was trashed when the Nazis took it over and took 40 years to reinvigorate - then sold in 1996 when the family could not longer afford the upkeep. I would redo it and let the various family members come for vacation or retreats and also teach viticulture to students from the US and all over the world.

The first thing is to say ****!!! I WON THE LOTTERY!!!
Then I'd probably be in bed a whole day crying of happiness (if I dont die first of a heart attack of course)
Then I donate a million, the rest: my family, a business to increase the capital, house, car, and everything that goes with it.
Now, you could be thinking, what a stingy girl I am, just donating a million, honey, just think in the taxes, at the end you wont get the whole prize, oK? Probably you'll get half or maybe a little bit more.

Good question though!!!

hmm..very good question...
i would start off by by hiring 2 people. A lawyer and a Chartered Accountant. I would then pay off any debts of my family members. I would then give each a sum of $$ to do as they wish..with the rest, i'd really enjoy my life...i wouldn't care too much for the nice car / house but i would buy 2 safe cars and a home for my family to enjoy - a large house but nothing over 5000 square feet. I'd then spend my days helping people who are less fortunate....i'd go to hospitals and instead of donating money, i'd ask them what they need (ie: beds, computers, machines, etc)...and then i'd get it for them. While donating money is good, i don't get the same satisfaction than if i saw it put to use.....i'd visit orphanages and bring with me tons of clothes and toys for the kids...you get the idea.....
hmmmm..aside from that...i'd invest a hell of lot in property :)

I'd start verrry sloowly, getting LOTS of professional accounting, legal, and financial advice, and set up a method to receive and invest the funds wisely. Then I would skim some of it off to give away. Then I would spend some of it to get the feel of it (not too much!). And a year or two in I would quit my job and move to the Bahamas. That would be fun!

first of all, pay off all my bills.
give $5 million to each of my daughters
keep $5 million for myself
keep $5 million to just hand out to people who are really in need and work hard but just cannot make ends meet.
the balance give to local schools so children don't have to sell cookies to buy school supplies and to Senior centers, nursing homes to help them make their final years comfortable.
