Your query is interesting, it made me turn to the essay for some references (where I marked), however, from "1984" there're 2 slogans (3, in fact but I'm sorry I don't have a copy of "1984" nearby to consult, I'd add later):
BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU.
IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH.
Early in the essay, Orwell cited 5 passages for critical examples and he concluded "... two qualities are common to all of them. the first is staleness of imagery: the other is lack of precision." Even though the two slogans're short but he meant them to be the opposite of "staleness of imagery" and "lack of precision". In other words, the slogans were intentionally used to arouse those who read with imagery and it revealed precision as regards the "ignorance' in question since the rulers craved to dominate the ruled by means of less info/knowledge for them in such a dictatorship state of fear and terror.

Orwell's "1984 has the main character, Winston Smith, working at the "Newspeak" dictionary. Newspeak is a form of the english language in which all nuance has been removed, and which is becoming the official language of Eurasia.
Politically, language is used in ther same way as advertising for soft drinks or washing powder.
In fact, a few years ago the BBC did a show on the similarities between advertising for toilet paper and advertising for a presidential candidate (Jimmy Carter I think).
When governments use terms like "peace through force," or "revenue enhancement" it is easy to see what Orwell's "Politics and the English Language" was all about. It fact poor Orwell may have been rather optimistic and could not have anticipated political language in the 21st century.
