My boyfriend is my best friend. We have been together for 3 years now and I am so comfortable around him. He is always willing to listen to me when I've had a bad day and can always make me feel better. He is kind, thoughtful, and always puts his family and friends before himself. I love him so much. : )

I don't have a best friend or any friends for that matter. Well actually I could say my fiance is kind of like my best friend. But he lives far away and due to the time difference (9.5 hours ahead of us) I can't really share or do anything of thing with him. I wish I could. But i know that once I get done with my studies and we get married and live together we'd be best friends as well as a couple :) He is always interested in what I do, how I feel, he listens, and understands me like no one else does or has in the past.
If I tell you honestly I don't belive in friendship. I've had so many friends in life. I've always been people's best friend but they have not really been mine. I always listen to what others have to say/complain/cry about, etc. And that made them feel comfy around me. I hung out with a bunch of ppl, they had fun, i made them laugh. But I've never met a friend who made me feel confident about the way I am (except my fiance). I've always had friends who got too busy when I had a problem to talk about or judged on how I talked to others to how lazy I am (way to boost a person's confidence eh?). So I have always ended friendships after a year or so since I was like 12.
I had a friend, we actually got very close...almost like best friends, but she always told me how I should talk to people. She would evaluate me after meeting a new person every time - 'You should talk like this....you should't have done this....you need to be more open....you worry too much....you don't smile". I got tired of that and one year of constant listening to that really got my self confidence down. So now I do what I like that best...I talk to whoever i want....classmates, guy who gives me my coffee at Starbucks, pizza boy, etc. I like talking to people but I don't like to depend upon them to have fun in life.

A best friend likes you "with" your faults and foibles. Who, if you fight, comes back at you and still talks to you. If you land in jail, is sitting next to you saying, That sure was Fun. If you whine, say, that's life, get over it. who picks you up by your boot straps and gives you a shake and tells you to smarten up friend. Is there when you laugh, cry, hurt, mend. And, you, you want to be that kind of person to.

My best friend is my husband. He's sweet, kind, a good listener, extremely smart, and good looking.
Personally, I think your best friend should be the one you are married to!!

i doubt that there is such thing as a best friend. sure, ill admit that its cool hanging around some people, but that doesnt make them your friend. people end up getting mad at each other and it turns out, they werent your friend at all.
