I think he's pretty clever considering he just transforms himself into these over the top characters in truly fish out of water scenarios, and never blows his cover, never laughs at his own ridiculousness.
However, he's not really a comedian, he's more of an improvisational actor. And that he does very well. Can't wait for the other movie with the German fashionista.

no, he's like the next tom green- He gets people to do/say a lot of funny stuff because they think he's for real. His interviews/ improvs will suck now that everyone knows he's acting.
He won't last like Jon Stewart or Stephan Colbert becuase he's too over the top. After Borat, no one political will want to talk to him
Chappelle has more classic lines and characters

Not even close. He's not even a comedian. He couldn't shine the shoes of people like Milton Berle or Bob Hope or the hundreds more genuine comedians of our age. He's a nobody getting off on acting stupid.

I wouldn't even classify him as a comedian. He's more of an on-camera jackass. But yes, he is definitely HILARIOUS!!!!! One of the most hilarious men of our time. Did you know during the shooting of BORAT, the police were called on him 91 times?
