My daughter was threatened by a boy at school that she would be stabbed if she didn't steal things for him. The boy has admitted to doing this to the school officials. Can any legal action be taken against the boy for this? They are both in 4th grade.

I personally would have gone to that little boys house talked to the parents. Well I think (no matter the age)that you should be able to do something legal to the kid or parents just because he threatened her life. He threatened her life with a weapon and that is illegal in all states no matter the age. There has been a kid around in Franklin Indiana who was planning to murder people in his school and got caught before it happened, and he got tried has an adult. He was prosecuted and sentenced to juvenile until the age 21(i think) and he had to go through therapy. So have faith and justice will happen okay.

That is a threat to bodily harm and yes you can do something about it. Call the police and file a report. They will decide whether or not to charge or ticket the child.

You can't just go around threatening to hurt people. The police will take it seriously and so should you. Who wants to wait until he actually DOES something? Post-Columbine, threats are taken very seriously in schools.

No legal action can be taken against the boy. You can, however, try to press charges against his parents and/or have their son forced into counselling.

Ummm the school police should be able to have him arrested and charged.....better get ahold of the school board administration and point out in the hundreds of pages that they expect you to read...that what he did was a crime....not some kids messing around.

I think the parents can be responsible for their young son's action and legal action can be brought against them
