Go to www.locksoflove.org and it will tell you how to donate your hair. Many salons work with this very worthy cause and most likely there are a few in your area that will help you. Some salons even do your hair for free if you donate your locks. You can get the certificate from the website. But the rewards will go on forever when a lucky cancer patient has a lovely head of hair because of you.

I just donated my hair!!!
I don't know what organization you're going to donate to, but I sent mine to "Locks Of Love"... as long as your hair is 10 inches long (well 10 inches to cut off), then you can donate it.

hair and nails are dead so they most likely won't have any vitamins. but that is very generous of you. not many people like you around these days.

Your hair, like your nails, is dead tissue once it leaves your body. No amount of vitimins is going to help it once it leaves your scalp.
Avoid coloring it, perming it, straightening it, teasing it, curling it, hot combing it, blow drying it, combing it when it's wet, using sharp bristled brushes, exposing it to sun or wind andhandling it roughly in anyway.
