He is in a difficult political situation:
If he changes it means he is admitting was wrong.
If he was wrong that proves he lied to the people.
If that was the case he will be impeached and lose his place in history (like Nixon).
As all politicians he wants to get out of power smoothly with his pardon from the next president.
He is not stupid but he is a megalomaniac.

Yeah... I got my hopes up too for a couple weeks there.
Now he's refusing to admit Iraq is in a state of civil war (just how many dead bodies need to be found throughout Baghdad each morning before 'civil war' applies, Mr. President?)
And he's sending in MORE troops even though Iraq is telling us to go home.
And he doesn't want to bring our people home until 'the mission is complete'!
How can it possibly have escaped his notice that we are not making ANY progress in this 'mission'... things have only gotten worse and there is no end in sight.
Sorry troops, if King George has his way it looks like you're stuck over there forever or until everyone is dead. Just so you know, the majority of your fellow American citizens value your lives and don't want to see them squandered on an unwinnable war.

I think he is clueless and I think the Democrats are a bunch of losers for letting him and his weirdos get away with as much as they have. Sh*t, I wish Superman or Darth Vader would run. Actually, I honestly think Oprah Winfrey would be the best of all possible candidates and God help anyone who ran against her but she is tooooo smart to get into the political arena.

Different day, same ole chit with guys like you. Bush may not be the best Prez we've ever had, but he sure beats the other option we had. We really would be in trouble if Bush would have lost.

Personally, I really appreciate a president who is strong enough to pursue what he believes is the right thing. Even if Bush is "misguided" or "stupid" as some would say, I hope that future presidents who have their head on straighter will have the same will as him.

The Dummy is trying to fill a man's shoes, which he can't do because he chickened out of Vietnam.
See how stupid and fitting it is that Bush, a mediocre HISTORY student at Yale, and a non-participant in Vietnam, managed to REPEAT a fool's mistake?
That moron needs to GOOOOOO!~

it seems that if he's "out in the open" for very long... without total control over every word he says... (no speeches to read, ect.) as he is often on trips overseas when he's traveling and talking to the media a lot...
the old guy returns...
