I went to a deftones concert last night and ever since then I haven't been able to hear. It was the first concert I've ever been to. I didn't realize how incredibly loud it was going to be. Everything sound is muffled. I'm sure it's only temporary but is there anything I can do to speed up the process of getting my hearing back.

Try taking Sudafed (to clear up any fluid in your ear). Also try sleeping with cotton in your ears to allow time for healing from the noise. Never, ever go to a rock concert without taking cotton or something to plug your ears (you will still hear the music just fine). If your hearing is still muffled after two more days, make an appointment to see your doctor!

LOL

I went to 6 concerts this summer...it was....hell on my ears, as for a few of them, I was right in front of the amps...

It will take a few days for your hearing to come around, also, wait a few days, and maybe gently swab your eats with a q-tip.....the body naturally makes earwax when exposed to loud noises to muffle them as best it can, so that may also not be helping your hearing now...

Good luck with the hearing, and a good idea for future concerts would be to take a pair of ear plugs...

no, but i would avoid loud noises for the next few days to prevent doing further damage. you should get it checked out by a doctor if it persists more than a day or so, you may have had some permanent damage done.
