It is beyond me and most U.S. citizens as to why there are still those in our country who display unwavering support for our incompetent, divisive, foolish, and failed president.

Firestorm, speaking of the Constitution, didn't you know the government has the power to hold any citizen or non-citizen in our country indefinitely? They do thanks to the MCA. That goes against the Habeas Corpus because it can be applied to citizens. There you go. In your face!

Statistically, every population has its share of fools, nutjobs, and confused people. Bush's defenders call for "facts!" when the hard awful truth has been staring them in the eye for more than 5 years. Those are the ones with the blinders, tinfoil hats, and tendency to cover their ears and belt out old Sousa marches when you try to point out how bad the President is. In their bizarre fantasy world, all soldiers have willingly and proudly died in the amazingly successful war on terror; the GOP has retained control of Congress; Bush is a more accomplished war hero than McCain and Kerry combined; the President and Cheney espouse pure family values and morality and have never sworn or lied; and anyone who complains about infringement of civil liberties must be a terrorist or terrorist sympathizer.

Sad. Some day there will be a cure.......maybe.

he's leaving with the next presidential election in 2008.

It would be pointless and a waste of TAXPAYER money to get him out of office before that.....

Imagine the uproar that would erupt when taxpayers realize they are footing the bill for an impeachment when he has to leave in 2008 anyway. Great economic strategy there.

Until that time, there's no point crying over spilt milk...

I wonder how many people are going to get on the next guy (or woman) that hold's office.....

If you think the job is easy, run for president, travel all over the country campaigning, win the majority of primaries, choose your #2 guy, campaign day and night, win on election day, transition into the job, choose people for all positions in your cabinet, and then ... deal with insurgencies, hold cabinet meetings, veto some bills that some people like and others don't, sign some bills that some people like and others don't, have strained relationships with people in Congress, pull troops out of iraq, send troops to iraq, deal with another "9/11" if it happened ...... oh yeah.. find bin laden and stop al qaida from all terrorist activity, AND DEAL WITH LOW OPINION POLLS BECAUSE I DOUBT THE NEW PRESIDENT CAN FIND HIM EITHER

There's tons of stuff I left out...

I just had this epiphany - President Bush finds Bin Laden before he leaves office and steals the new presidents thunder. That would be great, wouldn't it?

President Bush has one of the most difficult jobs in the world.
He has to listen to people giving him information all the time and has to make decisions based on that information. WE were attacked over and over again by terrorists attacking our embassies in foreign countries, during the Carter (D) administration,Iranians stormed and took Americans hostage and kept them hostage until after the presidential elections, but released them before the Republicans took the White House. After 9/11,people were demanding and politicians were promising to find the people behind the attacks. The trail took us to Iraq and Afghanistan in search of terrorists and weapons of mass destruction, which Sadam was known to use even on his own people. The Democrats had access to the same information as the Republicans in Congress and voted to fund the war, when they could have voted against the funding and then they could have let the Republicans take the blame alone.
The Democrats and news media yap it up about the 3,000 lives lost in Iraq, but they lost more lives in a single month in Viet Nam than we have lost so far.
And the U.N. isn't doing anything to help and that is because most of the nations are not democratic nations like us.They are dictatorships and they don't like us either.
Now like some of the others,What are the facts you say are against him and his actions?

They are stubborn in the most inane fashion.

If you dis the pres and don't cite sources, they scream and shout that you have no proof. If you dis the pres and cite your sources, they claim it is all leftist media lies anyhow. The way I look at it, they prove their own intelligence (or lack thereof) when they continue to insist he is one of the good guys, against all evidence.

I personally know several people who were seemingly die-hard W supporters a year or two ago who were man enough to recognize he's inept and admit they were wrong. But of course I also know others who fit your description... those who think the man can do no wrong.

I think it's a matter of their own personal pride. They don't want to accept responsibility for electing this monster into office, so they pretend he isn't a monster, thereby absolving themselves of any guilt.

People are so blind they refuse to see the truth. Like how he belongs to the Skulls and Bones organization. I guess there's a lot of people with jello for brain matter.

Unfortunately there are people in the world who will blindly follow someone regardless of the stupid and misguided things that they may do. When it is toward a leader it is usually called jingoism, which is like an extreme version of patriotism except that the views are kept regardless of the amount of evidence to the contrary of the position that they hold.

Come again?

You know, in this country we have a saying: "Innocent until proven guilty"?

Maybe if you liberals would actually STUDY the constitution, you'd know that.

PROVE to me what you're saying. Bring FACTS. This is just the kind of moronic liberal rant I see every day. Go educate yourself.

It's not about unwavering support.

It's about recognising when the right thing is being done.

Invading both Afghanistan and Iraq, was doign the right thing.

History will recognize Bush as the president who did the RIGHT thing, not the popular thing. I respect that, and so should you.
