Try Dawn dishwashing liquid. Rub it on grease spots and use a small amount in with your regular laundry soap. It has worked for me before.

My husband is a mechanic and his uniforms get VERY greasy. We pour a can of Coke in with them for a first wash to de-grease and the coke literally EATS the grease! Then wash them with soap afterwards like normal and it should clean any leftover coke and grease form your washer- I have never had a problem afterwards- I can even wash whites afterwards. if you are scared though, you can run it once in between with no clothes just to make sure.

Now I'm picturing blankets saturated in used motor oil or something......
The same detergent that breaks up and suspends dirty oil will also wash it down the drain. I suppose you could run an empty washer load of HOT water w/ some Dawn afterwards.... but maybe I haven't seen just how dirty laundry can get.
Go to the washateria!

any kind of dish washing sink soap like ajaxx, should do the trick, saturate the clothes in them, and wash as normal. if its a ton of grease be careful, because you should never dry something that has alot of grease left in it.

Thats easy.
Always take your dirtiest, greasiest, muddiest laundry to the laundromat and that will keep your machine clean.

Don't you dare! I know what you are thinking, don't do it. Don't take it to the laundromat.
Oh, go ahead, if you must.
