When I had to write a persuasive speech a LONG time ago, I wrote about the commercialization of Christmas . . . but if you don't believe in it and don't think it's important, it won't work. I suggest finding something that you are deeply passionate about and start from there . . . the words will soon flow. I got an A +++

Hope this helps!

I always imagined that speaking about the life and travels as a five dollar bill would be an intriguing speech. Walk though something like the day in the life of...and at the ending revealing that it was about a piece of money. Keeps them guessing throughout the whole speech, interested and then hitting themselves for not catching on quicker what it was all about:) Add into the mix the powerful force that is greed that drives as all making it a persuasive topic.

I did one last year on the reasons pregnant mothers should not drink. I went for eight min., and got an A on my speech. I also did a power point with it. It doesn't matter what you do it on as long as it is something that you truly believe in. Once you think of that subject you'll wish you had allot more time than eight min.

It could be on the issue of flag burning. You can go on forever with that one. Trust me, I just did a debate on it. Go on Wikipedia and look up some stuff.
