Jones' construction of an 8-foot fence around his property will block his neighbor Jacobi's scenic view, though if it were only a 6 foot fence it would not. If Jacobi values his view at $1000 and Jones values the extra 2 feet of fence at $500, then a possible resolution is that

a.Jacobi makes a side payment to Jones of $750 not to build the fence so high.

b.Jacobi makes a side payment to Jones of less than $500 not to build the fence so high.

c.Jones makes a side payment of $750 to Jacobi to live with the fence.

d.Jones makes a side payment of over $1000 to Jacobi to live with the fence.

e. None of the above?

If Jones is contructing the fence on HIS property (as you stated), he can build a 20 foot fence if he wants to. After all, that's what the USA is doing on our Southern Border, right?

God Bless America!!
